We are delighted to welcome you to The Wild Garlic's apartment, Lewin. A newly refurbished space above the restaurant with some beautiful furniture and fittings. We wanted to create an apartment that we would like to stay in when we're away from home. The emphasis was on comfortable luxury within an informal environment, where we hoped our guests would feel relaxed and at home. Lewin has a bedroom / lounge, kitchen with dining table and a shower room.

The inspiration for our design was the artist Angie Lewin (hence the name of the apartment) and we have one of her prints hanging in the main room. To compliment her artwork, we have chosen furnishings from the late 1950's and early 60's, and have tried to make it feel real, rather than an uncomfortable retro-styled space. If you like Ercol and G-Plan, then this is the place for you. We also wanted to have a very traditional feel because Beaminster is a very English, very traditional town, so, as well as having original furniture, it seemed appropriate to decorate it with Toile de Joie on the walls and have crisp white cotton bedlinen for a peaceful night's sleep.

Lewin isn't an Hotel room (we don't turn down your bed or change your towels) and it isn't a Holiday cottage (you don't have to tidy-up before you leave), it's the best of both. It's a retreat, where you can have as much independence and privacy as you'd like but can also have lunch and dinner delivered to your door from the much admired restaurant downstairs, if you choose. The charm of Lewin is that it's at the centre of all the goings-on. It's in the centre of Beaminster and in the centre of our building, so you're overlooking the bustling Square and hovering above the buzz of the restaurant. It's the ideal bolthole providing hotel-quality furnishings and toiletries, an individual design, more space than you'd get in a typical hotel room and the opportunity to relax and make your own breakfast in your own fully equipped kitchen.

Here's how it works:

We won't disturb you during your stay, so if you'd like fresh towels, toiletries, bedlinen or any information, please give us a call (we're only here during restaurant working hours)

You come and go as you please (don't forget your key)

On your day of departure, please vacate the apartment by 11am and remember to leave your key behind

 

Room price  £125 per night (Low season).  £150 per night (High season)

3-course dinner (served in your room) price  Dinner for 1 is £30.  Dinner for 2 is £50

Cancellation policy  A full refund will be given unless you cancel within 7 days of your reservation date. If that is the case, your 1st night's cost will not be refunded unless we relet the room for the whole period of your booking. If relet, we will then refund your 1st night's cost aswell.

Low season  £125 per night (1st October to 31st March)          High season  £150 per night (1st April to 30th September)
