We wanted to raise money for ShelterBox, so we designed 'The Wild Garlic' mug, this was followed by more merchandise, but running a restaurant and selling products are very different operations and we just couldn't make them work together. The only solution was to open an online shop, so here it is.
We love British products, British food producers and embracing the natural resources we have living and growing all around us. Just as the French have traditional and established products named after towns and regions in their country (Champagne, Chambord), we too have a strong tradition of wonderful products which have stood the test of time, Melton Mowbray pies, Arbroath Smokies, Cheddar etc. We're proud to work with other people who have a passion for producing great products, made with care and a determination to produce something that looks and tastes absolutely fantastic. So, using the best of British produce, sourced locally wherever possible, let's celebrate what is natural, seasonal, individual and real.
Here on our online shop, you can buy merchandise, vouchers and courses from The Wild Garlic restaurant, plus a range of other carefully chosen products that we wanted to share with you. The products are predominantly British but there are some exceptions which are sourced, or have ingredients sourced from overseas. For example, Lemons and other citrus fruit are a part of our every-day lives, so we felt compelled to include them. Although our tastes are more informed and varied than they've ever been, with influences from Italy, Thailand and beyond, the majority of the ingredients needed for these dishes can now be grown in this country.
