Wild food foraging at The Wild Garlic

Join Mat for a leisurely walk through local woodland, hedgerow and seashore, learning to identify British edible wild food.

This course will introduce you to some of the edible plants that can be found growing wild all around us. Some can be eaten, some cannot; some taste good and some should be left for the birds, but which is which? Mat and our forager Theo, will guide you to some of the tastiest wild food around. We will not be focusing on funghi or mushrooms rather other plants that are in season.

Then back to The Wild Garlic for refreshments and a breather. We'll spend the next couple of hours exploring the seashore along the beautiful Jurassic coast before, once again, returning to The Wild Garlic

Each excursion is dependent on what's in season, what wild foods are available, the walking abilities of those in the group and of course, the weather
